Preparation technology of high-purity quartz sand: The purification of quartz sand is mainly to remove small or trace impurities to obtain high-purity quartz sand. Commonly used processes include washing, gravity separation, magnetic separation, flotation, and acid leaching. Wipe: The process of removing impurities such as iron, cement and sludge from the surface of quartz sand by mechanical force and peeling force between particles. Early scrubbing of quartz sand minerals can effectively discharge some impurities and clean the particles on the surface of the quartz sand, so as to smoothly carry out the subsequent purification work.

Gravity selection: Gravity selection is the screening of minerals based on their gravity. Due to the different densities of the mineral particles under the action of fluid force and mechanical force in the medium, the stratification is loosened and the ore particles are separated. Magnetic separation: Magnetic separation is the separation of magnetic impurity minerals and particles in quartz sand. Quartz in quartz sand is a diamagnetic material and cannot be magnetized in a magnetic field. Most of the impurities containing fe and ti are paramagnetic materials, which can be magnetized, so that impurities containing fe and ti can be magnetically separated by high-content quartz sand Remove. Flotation: Flotation is a process of separating mineral particles through different physical and chemical properties on the surface of mineral particles. Its main function is to remove the related minerals mica and feldspar from the quartz sand. The results show that the pH value of the slurry, the type and amount of collectors have a significant impact on the purification effect of flotation.

Acid leaching: Quartz is insoluble in acid (except hydrofluoric acid). The acid dissolves harmful elements such as iron to separate impurities and obtain high-purity quartz sand. Impurities in the surface and crevices of quartz sand can be removed by acid leaching, while physical methods such as magnetic separation and flotation can only remove mineral structural impurities. The results show that the mixed acid has better effect in the acid leaching process. Quartz will be dissolved by hydrofluoric acid, so the concentration of hydrofluoric acid should not be too high. Time, acid concentration, washing process and temperature are factors that affect the effect of acid leaching.
